WearCare - an optional program

Under normal driving conditions and with routine preventative maintenace, you should be able to avoid excess wear and use charges on your vehicle. But, if you purchase WearCare at lease inception and your vehicle displays dings and scratches beyond the accepted level at lease-end, the WearCare program can help you avoid up to $3,500 in additional fees*. It pays to purchase WearCare!

Here's a comparisons of "normal wear and use" vs. "WearCare waiver of excess wear and use":

*WearCare waives chargeable damage with the following conditions:

If the vehicle has been driven less than an average of 40,000 km per year, Ford Credit will waive the total responsibility for excess wear and use charges at scheduled lease-end, up to a maximum of $3500.
If the vehicle has been driven an average of 40,001 km or more per year, Ford Credit will waive half of the customer's responsibility for excess wear and use charges at scheduled lease-end, up to a maximum of $1750.

Gap Insurance

Gap Insurance is a unique feature of your lease that, with certain restrictions, waives the difference - or gap - between your insurance payoff amount and the lease payoff amount in the event your leased vehicle is stolen or destroyed. Gap Insurance is included at no extra charge with your lease agreement, provided you have the insurance required within the lease agreement. With our Lease Gap Insurance, you are only responsible for the insurance deductible, any lease payments which may be due and all other amounts due and owing under the lease.

Peace of Mind

Peace of Mind allows customers who are 62 years of age or older to lease or finance a new vehicle without the worry of creating a future financial burden for their families. Peace of Mind provides options to a family or estate in the event a customer should pass away before completing the lease or finance contract. These options include purchasing the vehicle or turing it in without the remaining contractual obligations.
