Since 1963, Metro Ford Sales Ltd. has been actively involved in the community of Calgary.  Family owned and operated, Metro Ford quickly built and has maintained a reputation as an outstanding dealership.  Over the years, the company has been consistently recognized as being tops in Sales and Service in Canada. Involvement in the community and community affairs has always been important to Metro Ford.  Bill Pattemore, the founder of the business was well known in Calgary.  He was a life long native of the area and former professional football player for the Calgary Stampeders.  Bill Pattemore was particularly involved in the Heart Society and Calgary Cancer Society. In 1985, Bill Pattemore unexpectedly passed away.  His wife, Margo Pattemore, assumed the Presidency of the company.  Margo became the first female Dealer Principle of a major Ford dealership in Canada.  In 1985, Margo and her management became the largest volume Ford Dealership in Canada.  That same year the dealership also won Ford’s highest award “The Chairman’s Award.” In 1986, Bill and Margo’s son Reg Pattemore joined the company full-time.  Reg worked in various positions in the dealership, and at the age of twenty-five became Dealer Principle.  Reg has served on the National Dealer Council along with being the Chairman of the Alberta Ford and Mercury Advertising Association.  In 1996, Metro Ford once again won Ford’s highest award “The President’s Award.”  In 1997, Reg served as President of the Calgary Motor Dealer’s Association. The family tradition of providing excellence in sales and service continues on.  This could not have been achieved, however, without the involvement, dedication and hard work of the entire staff. In April of 2005, Metro Ford Sales Ltd. was awarded its 2^nd Presidents Award for the 2004 calendar year.
